Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information I collect through whoisadam.com, why, how I use it, and what rights you have.

Who I am

This site is operated by Adam Harcourt, a sole trader. For any privacy question or request, contact me at adamjharcourt@gmail.com.

1. Site accounts

What I collect. If you create an account, I collect your email address and, for email sign-up, a password (stored only in encrypted form). If you sign in with Google, I receive your name, email address, and basic profile information from Google. I do not see or store your Google password.

Why. Solely to let you log in and use the site. I do not use your email for marketing, newsletters, or any other purpose, and I do not share or sell it.

Reading progress. The site remembers which pearls and papers you have opened so it can show you what you have already read. This is stored in your browser only, never sent to my servers, and used for nothing else.

Deleting your account. You can ask me to delete your account and its data at any time by contacting me. Accounts you create remain standard reader accounts; no account created through the public sign-in page receives administrative access.

2. Mentorship

What I collect. If you book a mentorship session, I collect your name, email address, preferred contact details (including your WhatsApp number if you choose to provide it), your time zone, and your requested session date and time. Payment is processed by Stripe; I do not see or store your full card details. Stripe's handling of your payment data is governed by Stripe's own privacy policy.

Booking details. Your booking request is sent to me by email and added to my calendar as a requested (tentative) appointment so I can confirm it with you. It is used only to arrange and deliver your session.

Session notes. During and after sessions I may keep brief notes to support our work. These may include personal details you choose to share. They are kept privately, used only for your mentorship, and never published or shared.

Intake form. If you complete a pre-session form, I use what you enter only to prepare for your session.

Recordings. Sessions are not recorded unless you give explicit consent in advance. Any recording is used only for our work together and deleted on request.

3. Technical data

The hosting service may record basic technical information such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited, for security and to keep the site running. I do not use this to identify you, and this site does not use analytics or tracking cookies.

What I do not do

I do not use advertising trackers, run analytics, send marketing emails, sell personal data, or share it with third parties for their own purposes.

Legal basis (EU and UK readers)

Consent (account creation, optional details such as your WhatsApp number, session recordings), performance of a contract (mentorship bookings and session notes), and legitimate interest in running and securing the site (technical data).

Who I share data with

Only the services needed to run the site: my hosting and database provider, Google if you choose Google sign-in, Google Calendar and Gmail for arranging confirmed bookings, and Stripe for payments. Each handles your data under its own terms and only to provide its service to me. I do not share data beyond this unless required by law.

International transfers

The services I use to run this site may store or process data in countries outside your own, including the United States. Where your data leaves the EU or UK, it is handled by providers using standard safeguards for such transfers.

How long I keep data

Account data: until you ask me to delete your account. Booking details: as long as needed for accounting and legal record-keeping, then deleted. Session notes: for the duration of our work plus a reasonable period afterwards, then deleted, or sooner on request. Recordings: deleted on request.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the data I hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its processing, receive a copy, and withdraw consent at any time. Contact me at adamjharcourt@gmail.com. EU and UK residents may also complain to their local data protection authority.

Children

This site and its mentorship are for adults. I do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

Security

I take reasonable steps to keep your data secure, including encrypted connections, restricted access, and verified payment processing. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and I cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes

I may update this policy from time to time. The date below shows when it last changed. Where a change materially affects how I use your data, I will make this clear on the site.
